As Co-founder of Canyon Midstream Energy Partners, Mark served as Senior Vice President of Business Development, where he led Canyon’s business development efforts in the Permian Basin and Oklahoma, building strategic assets and fostering growth.
Prior to Canyon, Mark co-founded Laser Midstream and served as Senior Vice President of Business Development for Laser Northeast Gathering Company. In this role, he spearheaded the company’s business development initiatives and was integral in identifying and executing acquisitions and business opportunities that advanced Laser’s position in the industry.
A seasoned entrepreneur, Mark also founded Gulf Shore Energy, LLC, where he successfully developed and constructed an interstate pipeline in Matagorda, Texas, and launched a biodiesel project on the Houston Ship Channel.
As Co-founder of Multifuels Energy Asset Group, Mark led the acquisition of over 300 miles of active pipelines, and today, he plays a central role in managing the company.
In addition to his entrepreneurial ventures, Mark held the position of President of Midcoast Energy Marketing, where he was responsible for business development and marketing, contributing to the executive management team’s efforts that led to the company’s growth and ultimate sale to Enbridge.

As Senior Vice President of American Midstream, Louis led the corporate business development group, reporting directly to the CEO. During a critical transition period, he stepped into the role of Interim CEO and President, successfully guiding the company through acquisition, development, dropdown, and divestiture transactions.
Previously, Louis served as Executive Vice President of Continuum/Seminole Energy Services, where he spearheaded strategic planning and business development initiatives. His leadership extended to operational management, with active engagement with the board of directors, private equity stakeholders, and lenders. Louis also took on the responsibilities of Interim CEO and President during a transitional phase, underscoring his versatility and leadership acumen.

Mark Bounds is an accomplished engineering and operations leader with extensive experience in the midstream energy sector.
As Senior Vice President of Operations and Engineering at ARM Energy Midstream, Mark oversaw the installation, commissioning, and operation of two large-scale cryogenic gas processing plants (60 MMSCFD and 200 MMSCFD), 327 miles of gas and crude gathering pipelines, and 25,000 horsepower of compression equipment.
Previously, Mark served as Vice President of Engineering, Pipelines, and Projects for Marlin Midstream as well as Vice President of Engineering for Energy Transfer Partners. At Energy Transfer, he led a $2.5 billion capital expansion program, managing over 800 miles of high-pressure natural gas pipelines, 500,000 horsepower of compression, and an expanded capacity of 4.5 Bcf/d. He directed a team of over 100 people, negotiated over $2.75 billion in procurement and construction contracts, and ensured the seamless execution of major infrastructure projects.
Mark’s career also includes leadership roles such as Director of Onshore Engineering at El Paso Field Services, LLC, where he managed process optimization, pipeline integrity, and construction with an annual budget exceeding $100 million.
At Duke Energy Trading and Marketing, LLC, he served as Manager of Supply Development, focusing on acquiring long-term natural gas supplies.
Mark holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas and an M.B.A. in Management and Finance from the University of Houston. He is also a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas, underscoring his technical expertise and dedication to excellence in engineering and project management.
